Hi Again,

Avez vous jamais rencontre Carlos Nakai? It would be an interesting musical experience, I think, a Nakai/Stivell pairing.

Also, votre, DVD, est-ce que c'est disponible en "region 1" pour les USA/Canada? J'ai cherche a Amazon US & CA, mais je ne le trouves pas.

Sorry for the 'franglais', je suis trop parraseuse aujourd'hui pour trouver ma dictionnaire.

For "Parcours", I would think you can find it thru Amazone region2. I think it has been distributed in Britain under another name. I will try to know more about it.

As you see, you can write in English (mine is not too broken, I hope).

For free samples of his music you can go to Amazon.com and do a search for R. Carlos Nakai, then choose a CD, scroll down the new page and click on the icon "listen to all".

Il est Native American (Navajo/Ute) et il a etudie la musique classique, puis on lui a donne une 'cedar flute' et il a commence une espece de renaissance de la musique traditionnelle Amerindian. Mais il s'interesse aussi de la musique classique, jazz, world beat, new age, tibetan, jewish, etc... J'ai pense que peut-etre vous aimerez son histoire et trouverez sa musique interresante aussi. Et si non, alors ce n'est pas peut etre le pire qui peut arriver au monde, non plus.

Re: Parcours: Si je comprende correctement (et c'est bien possible que non!) Je penses que si un DVD est fait pour l'Europe (Region 2) ca ne vas pas jouer aux USA ou Canada. Qq chose a voir avec la vitesse de la machine qui le fait tourner? Il faut etre soit en format "Region Free" ou "Region 1" pour marcher "on this side of the pond". Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong, I am definitely not technologically advanced!

I am still surprised that a European DVD would not work in Northern america. I'll try to know more about it. I will go to listen Carlos. I have always been fascinated by Amerindians.

Il y a toujours des moyens pour visualier des DVD d'une autre région. Normalement, il y a des logiciels pour ça. http://www.slysoft.com/fr/anydvd.html est un bon exemple.

There are always ways of visualising DVDs from different regions. Normally, there are programs for this. http://www.slysoft.com/fr/anydvd.html is a good example.

Bonjour,

En effet, il n'est pas possible de visionner des DVDs européens avec des lecteurs nord-américains "classiques". Toutefois, il est facile de contourner ce problème en les regardant avec de petits lecteurs portables (il est possible de les brancher à une télé) ou tout simplement avec un ordinateur. C'est ce que je fais lorsque j'achète des DVDs en Bretagne. Le DVD Parcours est magnifique!!!

je suis à peu près sûr qu'une version de "Parcours", celle qu'avait sorti Arte, 2 ou 3 ans avant, a été distribuée en version anglaise (technique et langue). Je me renseignerai.
I think that there is an English version of "Parcours" (another name); I will search.
